My daughter has arrived!

My daughter and her husband and 2 little girls finally arrived on Wednesday night. They flew straight from Cleveland, Ohio but with all the weather their flight was almost an hour late. By the time they drove the 2 1/2 hours home they were pretty tired. They said that baby Addie cried the entire time off and on. The flight was so bumpy that they couldn't get out of their seats. They said they will never fly again. Macie did ok but was not the happiest.....It's not the funnest flying with kids especially little ones. But they are here and we love it. They will be here for the next 2 weeks and then back to the books at Dental school. We enjoy having them here. My other daughter and her family who just moved back from Georgia and now lives in Orem will be here on Tuesday and then for the first time in about almost 3 years we will be all together again. Yes we plan on taking the family photo and pray that everyone will be happy for at least 2 sec. to snap the shot. Have a great Christmas everyone and we will post pictures as soon as everyone arrives at Grandma's house.

My son is engaged

Hey all. Well he finally did it. My son got engaged last week and I just thought I would share with you alittle of it. We have a festival of trees at our fine arts center here and with the help of his dad they came up with the idea of decorating a tree and having it up there. Well things evolved and the tree ended up on a stage with lights on it. We decorated it with big fake diamond rings and gold ribbon all over. He ordered online about 4 doz. red and white tulips because that is her favorite flower, and we plastered the tree with fresh flowers. It was gorgeous. He made special arrangements to have a private tour of the trees when everyone was gone. Thus the stage area. We got it set up and we were hiding, ( mom and dad and Tyson and Breanna and her parents). We had the video camera rolling and then they entered. She was clueless, and had no idea what was going on. We placed a ring box in the tree and Beau said, "Hey Mindy, why don't you open it for fun, of course she said no because she didn't want to disturb the tree. THere was a big huge fake ring in it and they laughed. Then Beau got all serious and took her hand and told her he loved her and then she started moving around and thinking oh my gosh, oh my gosh. Then he got down on his knee and asked her with the real ring. The lights went on and we jumped out and started clapping. She was so surprised. It was great and we got it all on camera for all to see. I will try to post pictures as we took pictures also. It was a great proposal.

Whooooooo!!!! we, meaning my daughter who is much smarter than I , think we figured the picture thing. So here goes. Just some pictures of the fam at Thanksgiving.

How to post pictures?

Okay I need help. How do you post pictures? I have tried, my daughter has tried, my daughter in Ohio has tried and I give up. I have pictures on my computer but they just don't want to be published. That is my guess. Anyway we are doing great as usual. School is busy and the 2 college boys are always busy. Well let's see now, hum we never see them so I guess they are doing okay. Did I mention that they both live here at home while going to school. It's cheaper that way you know. Well maybe I shouldn't say live here, maybe I should say something like they eat and sleep here. Oh well that is life and I love it. I could go into their room around 1:00 a.m. and look at there pretty little faces sleeping, if in fact they were home yet!!!!College kids. Why do they feel like they have to stay up all night. Do they not think they need the sleep. Oh yah, I forgot they sleep in class. How silly of me to forget those days so many decades ago. Well I am done for the day. Will try to figure out the picture thing and if I can get it to work you may see some Thanksgiving pictures. TTFN

Thanksgiving

Hello yes this is me bloggingggggggg. Wow. Okay so we went to my parents house in Orem and all the siblings were there except my sis who lives in Wyoming. We had 28 people crammed in my mom's house. But it was fun. Turkey was delicious and the gravy to die for, and of course the many thousands of pies that we eat. You name it we had it. Okay so we didn't have thousands but we had a lot of them. And yes I am wearing them on my hips as we speak. Chocolate is on my left and cheese cake is on my right, and the pumpkin is in the middle, in my gut. The kids went to the show and of course we played games in the evening. Great day and so thankful for all the blessings that we have. Especially to live in a free country, and to have the Gospel in our lives. Hope you all had a great day. I will try to figure out how to post pictures on this thing.

Here we go

Well here we go. My daughter did it, not me. She is convincing me that this is a good thing. I have to question this mode of communication. But whatever. I don't take pictures either now I have to get a camera and start taking pictures of my 2 last children at home.

Ok- so now this is Amber.... the momma has issues with writing things on here and has no idea what to write. So- just keep posting comments and convince her that this is actually something she should do and is fun! It's acutally quite comical- she sees no fun in this. I guess we'll just have to stand by and see if she keeps it up or not.
